Left: Excerpt from my sketchbook that I made when I was about 13. Blatant rip-off of characters like Tidus, Cloud, .hack//SIGN, etc. but I thought it was totally cool/badass and original at the time.
Right: How I’d draw the character with my current artistic tools with a lil’ bit of animu-style thrown in.
If any of you guys have your old sketchbooks, I HIGHLY encourage you to redraw something from it. So much fun to do and extremely nostalgic. Hope you dig it!
